The drug is used for the treatment of arterial hypertension, stable and vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal), including in patients resistant to therapy with nitrates or beta-blockers.

However, the use of Corvadil has a number of limitations. It should not be taken in case of hypersensitivity, arterial hypotension (less than 90 mmHg), shock, acute myocardial infarction. You should also limit the use of the drug in cases of severe aortic stenosis, heart failure, liver dysfunction and in childhood.

Corvadil may interact with other groups of antihypertensive drugs, nitrates and hypoglycemic drugs. You should also avoid combined use of the drug with inhalation anesthesia, amiodarone, quinidine and other calcium antagonists, as well as NSAIDs, as this may enhance the effect of the drug.

In case of an overdose of Corvadil, symptoms of excessive peripheral vasodilation, a pronounced and prolonged decrease in blood pressure, and tachycardia may occur. Treatment includes gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal, and placing the patient in a horizontal position with legs elevated.

The use of Corvadil during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible if the expected effect of therapy exceeds the potential risk to the fetus. Breastfeeding should be stopped during treatment.

Thus, Corvadil is an effective drug that can help in the treatment of arterial hypertension and angina pectoris. However, the use of the drug should be carried out only as prescribed by a doctor, observing all contraindications and restrictions, as well as under the supervision of a specialist. If side effects occur, you should immediately seek medical help.
