Dosage forms - powder for the preparation of an injection solution 1g, powder for the preparation of an injection solution 2g, powder for the preparation of an injection solution 4g
Composition - Active ingredient - Cephalothin.
Indications for use: Sepsis, endocarditis, peritonitis, infections of the respiratory tract and genitourinary system, skin and soft tissues, osteomyelitis.
Contraindications - Hypersensitivity (including to other beta-lactams), pregnancy, breastfeeding (should be discontinued during treatment).
Side effects - Dyspeptic symptoms, renal dysfunction, hypovitaminosis, dysbacteriosis, candidiasis, pseudomembranous colitis, allergic reactions (skin rashes, Quincke's edema, anaphylactic shock), phlebitis and painful infiltrate at the injection sites.
Interaction - The effect is enhanced by bactericidal chemotherapy drugs, weakened by bacteriostatic ones. Increases the nephrotoxicity of aminoglycosides and polymexins.

Special instructions - Prescribe with caution to patients with impaired renal function (correction of the dosage regimen is necessary). Particular caution should be exercised when used concomitantly with loop diuretics.
