Daleron is an analgesic-antipyretic derivative of para-aminophenol that is used to relieve pain and fever. The drug is available in tablet form and contains paracetamol as the active substance. Daleron is produced by Krka d.d. in Slovenia and has the international name paracetamol.

Indications for use of Daleron

Daleron is used to relieve mild to moderate pain of various natures, such as headaches, toothaches, migraines, back pain, arthralgia, myalgia, neuralgia and menalgia. The drug is also used to reduce fever during colds such as influenza and ARVI.

Contraindications to the use of Daleron

The drug is not recommended for hypersensitivity to paracetamol and for impaired renal and liver function. It is also contraindicated in alcoholism and children under 6 years of age.

Side effects

When using Daleron, the following side effects may occur: agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, anemia, renal colic, aseptic pyuria, interstitial glomerulonephritis and allergic reactions in the form of skin rashes.

Interaction of the drug with other drugs

With the simultaneous use of Daleron with indirect anticoagulants (coumarin derivatives), the effect of the latter may increase and the likelihood of liver damage from hepatotoxic drugs may increase. Metoclopramide increases and cholestyramine reduces the rate of absorption of Daleron. Barbiturates reduce the antipyretic activity of the drug.

Overdose

In case of an overdose of Daleron, the following symptoms may occur: pallor, nausea, vomiting and pain in the abdominal area in the first 24 hours. After 12-48 hours, kidney and liver damage may occur with the development of liver failure (encephalopathy, coma, death), cardiac arrhythmias and pancreatitis. Liver damage is the most dangerous consequence of an overdose of Daleron.

special instructions

The risk of overdose increases in patients with non-cirrhotic alcoholic liver disease. When taking the drug Cefekon D, use it with caution in Gilbert's syndrome. Long-term use simultaneously with indirect anticoagulants requires constant medical supervision.
