Dermatomyositis

Dermatomyositis is a rare and severe systemic disease characterized by inflammation of skeletal muscle, skin and/or mucous membranes, causing pain, fatigue and loss of muscle function. This disease usually occurs in adults between 40-65 years of age, but can occur at any age.

Dermatomyositis affects all segments of the population, but there is a certain risk group for developing the disease, which includes people with existing chronic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, diabetes, as well as people who have suffered injuries and surgeries on the skeleton and joints in the past.

Symptoms of dermatomysitis can vary from mild soreness to severe damage to all muscles of the body. Main symptoms include muscle and joint pain, loss of flexibility and stiffness, difficulty climbing stairs, walking, running and other physical activities. Leather
