Desmoma

Desmomatosis is a disease characterized by the presence of benign tumors consisting of spindle-shaped cells on the covering part of the skin or internal organs. It is characterized by severe hyperemia, swelling and severe pain. There are superficial and deep desmotomes. Deep ones are capable of growing into the subcutaneous fatty tissue; as a rule, the disease manifests itself in the skin of the lower extremities or face, the tumor appears suddenly. If the form of the disease is subcutaneous, it is accompanied by the appearance of small nodules, pink in color, painless when pressed. Also, malignant tissues are able to penetrate deep into the skin, in such cases the disease is musculocutaneous or dermal-tendon. The disease most often occurs secondary, as well as benign tumors of the skin. The process of tumor formation starts the process of its growth, when it reaches a significant size, a rupture may occur in its area. The disease manifests itself primarily by the appearance of nodes. Nodules can be small and reach a large size, but sometimes they are single in nature. More often they are located superficially, on the skin, and the surface of the skin may swell and pain appears. Hygroma can multiply on both sides of the body. In this case, individual ones can merge into a single large tumor. The tumor may have the shape of a nodule; there is no significant difference in size between the cells, which makes it possible to diagnose the disease. On palpation, the nodule is smooth and elastic; when squeezed, it becomes softer. Among multiple hygromas, cyanosis is noticeable, there are no compactions, and the size of the neoplasm is quite large. Under pressure, the growth of nodes slows down, so the disease does not progress at the site of compression.
