Diclofenac-Altpharm, produced in Russia, is an anti-inflammatory drug belonging to the group of phenylacetic acid derivatives. This medicinal product is manufactured by Altpharm and contains diclofenac sodium as an active ingredient. Diclofenac-Altpharm is available in the form of rectal suppositories of 100 mg.

Diclofenac-Altpharm is used to treat a wide range of diseases, including inflammatory diseases of the joints (rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatism, ankylosing spondylitis), degenerative diseases (osteoarthrosis deformans, osteochondrosis), lumbago, sciatica, neuralgia, myalgia, diseases of extra-articular tissues (tenosynovitis, bursitis, rheumatic soft tissue damage), post-traumatic pain syndromes accompanied by inflammation, postoperative pain, acute attack of gout, primary dysmenorrhea, adnexitis, migraine attacks, renal and hepatic colic, infections of the ENT organs, residual effects of pneumonia. Local use of Diclofenac-Altpharm is recommended for the treatment of injuries to tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints, as well as localized forms of soft tissue rheumatism. In addition, the drug can be used in ophthalmology for the treatment of non-infectious conjunctivitis, post-traumatic inflammation after penetrating and non-penetrating wounds of the eyeball, pain syndrome when using an excimer laser, during surgery for removal and implantation of the lens (pre- and postoperative prevention of miosis, cystoid edema of the optic nerve) .

Despite the wide range of applications, Diclofenac-Altpharm has a number of contraindications. The drug is not recommended for people suffering from hypersensitivity to its components, hematopoietic disorders, gastric and duodenal ulcers, aspirin-induced bronchial asthma, as well as children under 6 years of age and women in the last trimester of pregnancy.

When using Diclofenac-Altpharm, some side effects may occur.
