Dosage forms: tablets for implantation 100 mg
Composition: Active substance - disulfiram.
Indications for use: Chronic alcoholism (relapse prevention, lack of therapeutic effect from other methods), chronic nickel intoxication.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, thyrotoxicosis, diabetes mellitus, pronounced cardiosclerosis, atherosclerosis of cerebral vessels, pre- and post-infarction conditions, aortic aneurysm, coronary insufficiency, hypertension stages II-III, cardiovascular diseases in the decompensation stage, pulmonary tuberculosis with hemoptysis, bronchial asthma, severe emphysema, gastric erosion, liver and kidney diseases, mental illness, epileptiform syndrome, polyneuritis, glaucoma, pregnancy. Restrictions on use: age over 60 years, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (in the acute stage), endarteritis, previous psychoses while taking disulfiram.
Side effects: Metallic taste in the mouth, hepatitis, neuropsychiatric disorders, headache, polyneuritis of the lower extremities, itching, urticaria.
Interaction: Effects, incl. neurotoxic, enhance tricyclic antidepressants (amitriptyline), metronidazole, isoniazid, reduce (reaction to alcohol) - ascorbic acid. Reduces blood clotting against the background of indirect anticoagulants. Increases the toxicity of diphenine.
Overdose: Manifested by coma, collapse, and various neurological phenomena. Treatment is symptomatic.
