Dyspnea Cardiac

Shortness of breath is a subjective feeling of lack of air after inhaling. Occurs as a result of disturbances in external and (or) internal respiration. One of the main causes of shortness of breath is hypercapnia (excess carbon dioxide in the blood). Shortness of breath can also be caused by hypocapnia (low carbon dioxide in the blood), which under certain conditions can become life-threatening, also known as “mountain sickness.”
