Egorova Mirror

Egorova Mirror (b. G. Egorov, 1892-1972, Soviet neurosurgeon) - an outstanding Soviet neurosurgeon, professor.

Egorov was born in 1892. Graduated from the 1st Moscow Medical Institute. Since 1925 he worked at the Institute of Neurosurgery in Moscow. He made a significant contribution to the development of domestic neurosurgery.

He worked on the problems of surgery for tumors of the brain and spinal cord. He was one of the first in the USSR to use microsurgical techniques, which made it possible to remove tumors from the deep parts of the brain with greater precision.

Developed a number of original neurosurgical operations. Author of about 70 scientific papers. Prepared many students.

Died in 1972. For his contribution to the development of neurosurgery he was awarded the title of Honored Scientist of the RSFSR.
