Electromyography

Electromyography (EMG) is a medical diagnostic method that is used to study the electrical activity of human muscles. It is based on measuring the potentials that arise in muscles when they contract or relax. EMG allows you to assess the condition of muscles and nerves, as well as diagnose various diseases, such as injuries, paralysis, neuropathies and others.

The principle of operation of electromyography is that a special electrode is applied to the patient’s skin, which is connected to a sensor. When a muscle contracts, an electrical signal occurs between the electrode and the sensor, which is recorded by the device. The obtained data is processed by special software, which allows you to analyze the electrical activity of muscles and identify possible pathologies
