Pulmonary emphysema Congenital Lobar

Congenital lobar emphysema

Congenital pulmonary emphysema (congenital pulmonary lobular emphysema) is a pathological condition in which, due to excessive diffusion of oxygen in the lung tissue, an irreversible change in the lung tissue develops: the structure becomes cystic, and due to increased gas pressure expansion of the walls of the alveoli and lung parenchyma occurs. This pathology is detected mainly in childhood and adolescence. The disease is characterized by impaired elasticity of the pulmonary walls, as a result of increased air production.
