Enterobiopsy

Enterobiopsy is an invasive test that aims to determine the presence of pinworm eggs in human feces. The medical term is named after the causative agent of the disease, but it has a very indirect relation to the pinworm itself, a parasitic worm that settles in the intestines. A biopsy is an operation to obtain a piece of tissue for examination. In some cases, partial or complete removal of an organ or part of it is performed.

It is carried out to diagnose various human diseases, for example, esophagogastroduodenoscopy is performed to detect cancer of the esophagus or stomach.

**The essence of this study:** Taking a scraping from the rectum from the mucous membrane. Part of the material taken is sent for laboratory testing by a laboratory doctor, and part is sent directly to a laboratory that detects parasites - worm eggs in feces.
