What is episcleritis nodosa? Nodular episcleritis is an inflammatory disease of the conjunctiva and scleral tissues of the eye, which is accompanied by the appearance of nodules on the surface of the eyeball. Nodular episcleritis can be either acute or chronic and usually affects both eyes. The disease is based on inflammation of the conjunctival membrane and cells of the mucous membrane of the eye (sclerocytes) at the border between the cornea and sclera, which leads to the development of small nodules. Symptoms of the disease can be very varied and depend on the degree of inflammation of the eye tissues:

- Peripheral swelling of the conjunctiva, red circles around the eyes; - The appearance of nodules up to 2 mm in size, which may have a pink tint or be white, pale or purple lesions;
