Evacuation Distribution Point

An evacuation distribution point (EDP) is one of the most important elements of the security system in case of emergency situations. It ensures the effective distribution of evacuated citizens and the necessary conditions for their life activities under evacuation conditions. In this article we will look at the main functions of the EPR, its structure and organization

There are quite a lot of evacuation points, but none of them are distribution points. After all, distribution points are usually designed to perform these actions.

Why is REP needed? This is one of the types of security at potentially dangerous objects. Such buildings occupy quite large areas and have a structure with slight differences in different angles. The cabins can be one or two stories high, depending on the workers who will be served during the evacuation. Together they are distributed into several separate groups in accordance with their departmental affiliation. This standard functionality makes the REP a kind of adapter from firefighting to emergency rescue mode. Since several such buildings can be installed on a site, this significantly speeds up the process when switching to emergency mode. This design looks like this: * the first floor has entrance buildings; * the second floor or isolated sides are used for administrative and technical premises, management classrooms, engineering and technical personnel, medical and duty control posts; * the third floor is adjacent to the evacuation exit; * the fourth floor assumes the presence of fire engines and areas for vehicles.
