Evacuation System

Evacuation system: provision of military medical care for evacuees.

The evacuation system is one of the most important elements of providing military medical services. It is a set of measures aimed at the timely provision of medical care and treatment of wounded and sick military personnel located on the territory of military operations. One of the main tasks of the evacuation system is to evacuate victims from the zone of direct combat operations and ensure their timely medical treatment in inpatient medical institutions deep in the rear. Evacuation can be carried out both using specialized vehicles and using other available means. When evacuating, it is necessary to take into account many factors, such as time, terrain conditions, transport accessibility, weather conditions and other important circumstances that may affect the effectiveness of the evacuation. It is also necessary to ensure sufficient training of medical personnel and material resources intended for the evacuation and escort of transport with the sick and wounded. The problem of effective evacuation is choosing the optimal time so that patients do not fall behind the convoy, and the driver does not get lost in unfamiliar places, especially at night or in conditions of limited visibility. In addition, it is advisable to have time to place the wounded in specially equipped vehicles with improved shock-absorbing qualities of the bodies. In connection with all this, it is impossible to do without the presence of computer navigation systems in evacuation systems. These systems allow the doctor to exercise control over the evacuation process, and coordination of actions on the part of the driver makes it possible to promptly avoid possible accidents or traffic congestion along important routes during the evacuation stages. The effectiveness of evacuation work always depends on professionalism and the human factor, which is

Evacuation is a safe process of moving the injured and others in need of medical care from the place of immediate disaster (as a result of natural disasters, fires, disasters, injuries and injuries), due to accidents, to a health care facility located directly outside the area affected by the accident.

If necessary, to provide qualified medical care, the evacuation of patients on specialized or conventional vehicles can be organized directly to medical institutions located in the disaster zone. For the ongoing implementation of the evacuation plan, special multidisciplinary medical units of the Civil Defense Ministry have now been created, consisting of a medical station (MP) and a special purpose department (OSpN), however, in medical centers that are not deployed on site, medical service platoons (Navy) are being created, three per each given military command authority. All of the above formations and their specialists must be prepared to carry out all types of evacuation measures, as well as to provide medical assistance in extreme situations.
