Fascia diaphr. Pleura. - connective tissue plate covering the surface of the pleural diaphragm. F. D. is one of the elements of the diaphragmatic fascia, which surrounds the esophagus and its esophagotracheal and esophago-bronchial openings. There is evidence of the limited significance of this plate as an independent formation in a number of areas of the neck and chest during the deposition of fatty tissue in the pericardium. Phenomenon f. pleura, as a rule, are not detected radiographically.
