Fengera Operation

The Fenger operation is a surgical procedure developed by American surgeon Charles S. Fenger in 1891. The purpose of the operation is to remove the membranes between the bones of the fingers and correct curvatures in the fingers caused by improper formation of bones during pregnancy or birth injuries.

As a result of performing fenova surgery, the deformed finger can be shaped into the shape it should have as an adult. The operation also helps prevent possible complications, such as infections and bone deformations from malunion.
