Photocystoscopy

Today in medicine there are many different diagnostic methods that help doctors identify various diseases. One such method is photocystoscopy, a method for examining the bladder and urinary tract using a camera. This method is used to diagnose and treat diseases of the kidneys, bladder, urethra and other organs of the urinary system.

The meaning of the method is that the patient is in a sitting position, and the doctor uses a cystoscope to examine the bladder and internal organs of the urethra. A cystoscope is an instrument that consists of a tube inserted into the urethra to provide a clear view of the bladder. It can be used to detect the presence of various diseases, such as bladder stones, tumors, cystitis, urethritis and other pathologies. During the examination, the doctor uses a special camera that captures an image of the patient’s urinary system on the screen.

Photocystoscopy is also used to monitor the effectiveness of treatment. For example, to identify stones in the urinary system and determine their size.
