Photokeratogram

Photokeratography is a method of examining the anterior part of the eye using a camera and special equipment.

The camera lens is used as an optical probe, with the help of which optical entry into the eye is made and the inner surface of the eye is photographed. As a result of this photography, a photographic image of the cornea is formed in real time. The photogram has a high resolution and allows for a detailed assessment of the condition of the cornea, including topographic parameters of the corneal surface, indicators of deformation and irregularities, optical properties of the anterior part of the eye, as well as a number of important diagnostic parameters. Photokeratogram is an indispensable tool for diagnosing various eye diseases, especially during preventive examinations. It allows you to identify various disorders and deviations in the structure of the cornea and the transparency of the optical media of the lens.
