Fuhrbringer's Symptom

Furbringer symptoms

Description Fuhrbinger's sign is a typical bone change found in patients with omartritis or osteoarthritis of the hip joint; are described as a cottony, compacted “lamb-shaped” covering of the articular surface or polished plates (“granular erosion”), sometimes resembling grooves (“linear erosion”).

The appearance of a linear appearance is due to the fact that this symptom reflects a common supracondylar inflammatory process. The characteristic process in this case is described as a flux with penetration into the entire area of the articular cartilage and the articular capsule covering the bone, penetrating as a result of displacement through the condylar eminence of the femoral head. In this case, erosion occurs not only of the articular surfaces, but also of the joint capsules. Due to the spread of inflammation, the entire ligamentous apparatus of the joint is involved in the pathological process. Deformations and disturbances of the normal function of the hip joint are expressed in the known osteonecrotic pits
