A hamartoma is a benign tumor that usually consists of muscle and connective tissue. There are meningioendothelial hamartoma, mesenchymal hamartoma, sinus hygroma and medullary lymphangioma. Mesenchymotal hamartoma occurs in people of all ages, but most often in children aged 1 to 5 years. Such a tumor can form in any organ, but the most common places are the brain, pancreas, skin, and genitourinary organs. Regardless of location, the size of the tumor will be almost the same.
