Hemiatrophy

Hemiatrophy, or gastric hypotrophy, is the partial loss of stomach function. Typically, this disease is common in old age, when the tone and volume of the muscles of the organ decrease. As a rule, it is diagnosed in combination with other pathologies of the digestive system. A hemiatropic stomach can lead not only to functional disorders, but also to negative changes in the walls of the stomach - thinning or atrophy.
