External hemorrhoids are a disease characterized by the formation of nodes or lumps in the rectum and anus. Every fifth inhabitant of the Earth suffers from hemorrhoids.

The causes of hemorrhoids can be different: hereditary predisposition, increased pressure inside the rectum, impaired venous outflow in the pelvis, the presence of other diseases of the digestive system, etc.

Symptoms of hemorrhoids include: pain in the anus, bleeding from the anal canal, and mucus from the rectum.

Treatment of hemorrhoids may include both conservative therapy (suppositories, ointments) and surgical
