Hemostasis

Hemostasis is a complex multicomponent and multiphase process that stops bleeding from damaged vessels. It is caused primarily by the presence of blood platelets (platelets) in the blood, as well as by the activity of platelets and other cellular structures of the damaged vessel, i.e. vascular-platelet hemostasis. However, depending on the depth of damage to the vascular wall, the processes of extravascular hemostasis associated with the restructuring of the activity of cells and organs surrounding the damaged vessel, aimed at ensuring the vital functions of the body, are of great importance.

Hemostasis can be achieved in three ways: 1 - Through coagulation, a simpler system;
