A heterogeneous system is a system consisting of elements of different types and properties, which means heterogeneity. In a heterogeneous system, individual components of the system interact with each other and form a whole, and each of their parts can perform its own functions. An important characteristic of heterogeneous systems is the difference in properties of their components. This means that in addition to differences in structure, such as the size of the elements, and similar physical properties of the elements of the system in many respects, heterogeneous systems contain elements of different chemical compositions. Heterogeneous materials include metal, ceramic, dielectric or semiconductor materials of various structures, as well as various chemical compounds, the materials of which differ in composition
