Hydatid

Hydatida is a medical education that few people know about. We are talking about a bubble consisting of dermal material. Such a lesion is treated either conservatively or surgically.

**Hydatida** is the medical name for an infectious tissue lesion. Important: the lesion often accompanies breast tissue. It can also occur intradermally or subcutaneously.

The bubble fits tightly into the covering of healthy tissue. A bit reminiscent of painful lesions of the genital organs. Externally, the hydatid formation looks like redness or swelling: it rises slightly above the surface of the skin. On palpation, it feels like a solid compaction. It is not a fact that hydatid will be painful. The danger of damage is that the affected area of the body begins to fester. After all, inflammatory tissues can begin to grow rapidly and sooner or later burst outward (dissolve the suppuration). If this happens, a hard compaction will form. Red skin swells. Local or general symptoms of damage appear. In some cases, hydratosis formation is accompanied by discomfort or pain. It all depends on the specific lesion. Bubbles can be single or multiple. Usually they are located one after another. They have a persistent etiology, that is, they are not subject to treatment, they are visible to the naked eye in humans.

Hydatis is a historical word that is associated with ancient Greek medicine. It means "water bubble" or "water-filled bladder." In ancient Greece, this word was used to describe transparent formations that appear on the human body as a result of diseases and inflammatory processes.

Hydatids were also called small liquid-filled capsules that contained infectious bacteria and viruses. These capsules can be located on the skin or inside the body. They can cause various diseases such as tissue infections, granulomas and abscesses.

Most often, secretions from the human body were called hydatids. This may be discharge of blood, pus, mucus or other fluids. In the medical literature, hydrates are also called tumors that are formed from cells of the sweat or sebaceous glands.

This word is still used, but now it has a slightly different meaning - a tumor that grows from atypical cells. These cells are not like healthy cells in the body and may have different properties. For example, they may be resistant to therapy or cause serious complications.

Now the terms hydate and hydata are used in various fields of medicine, including dermatology, oncology, ENT and urology. However, despite the fact that hydata is a medical term, its origin is controversial. There is a version that this is an old Greek name, and there is a version that “hydat” is derived from the Latin word “acidus”, which means caustic or sour. If this is so, then based on this we can conclude that the concept of hydata is associated with toxic substances released from the body of the victim or parasite.
