Hydremia Compensatory

Compensated hydremia (compensatory) is a physiological process of replenishment of transudate, water or other excess extracellular fluid in the body after redistribution with the formation of interstitial tissue and interstitial edema in the capillaries, increasing the overall oncotic (osmotic) difference between extra- and intracellular fluids. The pathological process is called “hypohydria”.
