Gingivitis Marginal

Gingivitis or inflammation of the gums is a disease of the entire oral mucosa and all teeth of the lower jaw. It is characterized by severe swelling in the gums, followed by the development of hyperemia, bleeding, and wounds where the gums are exposed. The process can spread to bone tissue and lead to the development of periodontal disease. Ulcers, after healing, leave behind deep defects in bone tissue, which sometimes contribute to the intensification of periodontal disease and the development of periodontitis, which can lead to tooth loss. Gingivitis leads to premature tooth loss, and especially severe forms of the disease are a sign of an immunodeficiency state.
