Mixed type hypoxia is a condition in which the body experiences an acute lack of oxygen in the blood. This can occur either as a result of impaired transport or delivery of oxygen to the blood, or due to diseases associated with excessive loss of oxygen during physical activity, for example, swimming in cold water.
Symptoms of mixed hypoxia may include headache, dizziness, sweating, tachycardia, shortness of breath, problems concentrating, and impairment of the cardiovascular system. A greater number of symptoms depend on the degree of hypoxia.
