Glanders cutaneous
Glanders cutaneous (lat. m. cutaneus) is a muscle located in the subcutaneous tissue. It belongs to the superficial muscles of the trunk.
The cutaneous glanders starts from the outer lip of the sacroiliac fossa, goes anteriorly and upward, passes into the broad tendon and attaches to the lateral edge of rib 12.
The function of cutaneous glanders is to stretch the skin and subcutaneous tissue of the lateral abdominal area. With unilateral contraction, it causes a transverse fold of the skin.
