Homeosis

Homeosis is a process in which several genetically different individuals simultaneously appear within the same population. Such a microevolutionary process could theoretically lead to macroevolutionary changes.

Homeosis occurs both within one individual and across generations and can affect both phenotypic and genetic traits.

In the 1830s, Charles Darwin predicted the occurrence of such phenomena even before they were experimentally discovered. He pointed out that small differences between parents can trigger increased diversity, and a few selectable traits provide a potential path to macrovariation. In addition, this could be the reason for the origin of the “amazingly diverse” life on the planet.

However, the mechanisms of homeosis require additional
