This is condensed and petrified moisture on the inside of the eyelid, whitish and similar to hailstones.
Treatment. For hailstones they use ointment made from the mud of hives and the like. Sometimes rose oil, terebinth gum and anzarut are added; or the hailstone is smeared with usshak, ground with vinegar, galbanum or asafoetida, as well as Oribasia ointment, which is described in the paragraph on barley.
