Diaphragmatic hernia

Diaphragmatic hernias, or hiatal hernias, are protrusions of abdominal organs through the affected part of the diaphragm, usually into the posterior mediastinum. Currently, the concept of diaphragmatic hernia is combined with the concept of sliding left lobe liver syndrome and hydatid disease.
