Gyno-Travogen Ovulum: antifungal agent for the treatment of infections of the skin and mucous membranes

Gyno-travogen ovulum is an antifungal agent, a derivative of imidazole and triazole, used for the treatment of dermatomycosis, such as trichophytosis, epidermophytosis, microsporia, candidiasis, lesions caused by molds, as well as for the treatment of mixed infections of the skin and mucous membranes. The drug is manufactured by Schering AG in Germany and is available in the form of vaginal tablets with a dosage of 600 mg.

The active substance in the drug is isoconazole, which is an effective antifungal agent that acts against a wide range of fungal infections. The drug is not recommended for use in case of hypersensitivity to its components.

Some side effects may occur when using the drug, such as skin irritation, mild burning and allergic skin reactions. The interaction of the drug with other drugs is not known, and overdose has not been described.
