Hesselbach's Ligament

The Hesselbach ligament is a connective tissue cord that connects the anterior and posterior lips of the cervix. It is also known as Hesselbach's ligament. The name of this ligament comes from the German anatomist Johann Hesselbach (1788–1856), who first described it in 1828.
