Choreathetosis is a combination of athetosis and chorea, which are two different types of muscle movement in the body. Athetosis consists of slow, mincing and painful movement of the soft tissues of the body, while chorea consists of fast and erratic movements. When these two movements are combined, choreathetosis occurs, which is characterized by high-frequency flapping of motor elements such as the arms, legs and neck, causing severe pain in the muscles and joints.
