Housing and sanitary supervision is a section of sanitary supervision dedicated to monitoring compliance with established hygienic standards and sanitary rules during the design, construction and operation of residential buildings and public premises.

The main tasks of housing and sanitary supervision are:

  1. Monitoring compliance with sanitary standards during the design and construction of residential buildings, dormitories, hotels and other facilities intended for human habitation.

  2. Checking the compliance of residential premises with established sanitary standards for area, illumination, insolation, microclimate, water supply and sewerage.

  3. Monitoring the maintenance of residential buildings, entrances, and courtyards in accordance with sanitary rules.

  4. Supervision of living conditions in hostels, hotels, rest homes, boarding houses and other places of temporary accommodation of people.

  5. Checking compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements in non-residential premises - shops, clinics, schools, kindergartens, etc.

Thus, housing and sanitary supervision is designed to ensure safe and comfortable living conditions for people in residential and public buildings. The Sanitary Inspectorate regularly conducts inspections and issues orders to eliminate identified violations of sanitary norms and rules.
