In Ukraine, during several winter months, lakes, rivers and ponds are covered with ice and snow. At this time, skiing and skating on frozen reservoirs, as well as ice fishing, are very popular.

The thickness and strength of the ice cover can be judged by its color:
Blue is the strongest. White - the strength is half as strong. Gray – indicates the presence of water.
