Intoxication Pathological

Pathological intoxication is a special type of alcoholic intoxication, which is characterized by signs of mental disorganization, impaired coordination of movements, the appearance of psychotic symptoms, and the development of aggressive behavior. It is much less common than usual.

Pathological intoxication is caused by any type of alcohol. For its development, age, gender, blood alcohol content and other factors do not matter. Pathological intoxication could be called a variant of ordinary intoxication, if it were not for the severe mental pathology that manifests itself in it. This disease is spoken of in cases where, after drinking alcohol, a psychosis occurs that is significantly different from that which occurs during normal intoxication. Mental pathology has specific signs: - hallucinations; hallucinatory behavior; - nonsense. With pathological intoxication, hallucinations and delusional experiences develop (illusions, experiences of the presence of strangers, feelings of violence against oneself; extremely rarely, the sensation of flying bullets).
