Isobar

Isobar: a combination diuretic for the treatment of hypertension

Isobar is a combination diuretic used to treat arterial hypertension. It contains two active components: triamterene and methyclothiazide. Isobar is produced by the French company Laboratories Jacques Loger and is available in tablet form.

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a common condition that increases the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack and stroke. Diuretics, including combination diuretics, are one of the groups of drugs that are used to treat arterial hypertension.

Triamterene is a potassium-coupling diuretic that helps eliminate excess salt and water from the body. Methyclothiazide, in turn, is a thiazide diuretic, which also increases the removal of excess fluid and salts from the body.

The combination of triamterene and methyclothiazide in Isobar allows you to achieve more effective control over blood pressure than when using each drug separately. In addition, this combination allows you to reduce the dose of each component and, therefore, reduce the risk of unwanted effects.

Isobar is produced in France and has the international name Triamterene + Methyclothiazide. The dosage forms available for this drug are tablets. The dosage of the drug should be prescribed individually depending on the patient's condition and the severity of arterial hypertension.

Despite the fact that Isobar is an effective drug for the treatment of arterial hypertension, it can cause undesirable effects such as dizziness, nausea, weakness, dry mouth and others. Therefore, before starting to take Isobar, you must consult your doctor and follow the instructions for use of the drug.
