Jump Like a Ball

Here is a good way to ensure that children behave relaxed and at ease, while remaining under the control of adults. Invite the children to use their imagination by imagining themselves as one of the inanimate objects they see in front of them. Start with, say, a hair tie: first pull the elastic, then let it return to its original shape, stretch it hard, throw it in the air and let it fall. Let the children try to imitate the movements of the rubber band. Then you can move on to a ball, a wind-up toy, a ball of rope, etc. If, after playing for a while, their energy has not diminished, invite them to come up with what else they would like to become: rockets, robots, snowballs, sparklers, etc.
