Stony Sinus Inferior

The petrosal inferior is the inferior sagittal plane formed by the intersection of the temporal bones of the frontal and occipital base of the skull. In anatomy, Latin terminology and cavernous sinus (Latin sinus cavernosus) abbreviated as CS are adopted. There are the following names for this anatomical structure: mandible, cavernous sinus, antrum, cave, angle, internal sinus. The sedal is a vertically directed cavity, the size of which largely depends on the physical form, gender and age of the organism. The inferior petrosal sinusoid is located on the left or right side of the midline. It protrudes slightly above the orbit, and its upper boundaries practically reach the opening in the skull and lip. Only in adults, after the formation of the head bones is completed, the CS is separated from the boundaries of the body by a distance of 5-6 mm.
