Generalized dental caries

Generalized dental caries (s. dentis generalisata) is a disease in which tooth enamel and dentin are destroyed on several teeth at the same time. This can be caused by various factors such as poor dental care, poor oral hygiene, consumption of sugary foods and drinks, and genetic factors.

Symptoms of generalized caries include tooth sensitivity to cold and hot foods, pain when chewing and eating, and the appearance of dark spots on the teeth. If generalized caries is not treated, it can lead to serious complications such as pulpitis (inflammation of the dental nerve), periodontitis (inflammation of the tissues surrounding the tooth) and even tooth loss.

To treat generalized caries, it is necessary to have your teeth professionally cleaned, remove all damaged teeth, and undergo root canal treatment. You may also need to install fillings or crowns to cover the defects. It is important to remember that regular tooth brushing and oral hygiene can help prevent the development of generalized tooth decay.

Due to the fact that people do not pay enough attention to their teeth and do not monitor their oral hygiene, caries can lead to serious consequences such as pulpitis or periodontitis, which can lead to tooth loss.
