Carotoline: Vitamin A analog for health support
Carotoline, also known as beta-carotene, is a pharmaceutical drug belonging to the carotene group of vitamin A analogues. It is widely used to maintain health and treat various conditions. Karotolin is produced in Ukraine by the Biostimulator company and in Russia by the Ufavita company.
Betacarotene, the main active ingredient in Carotolin, is a natural pigment that is converted in the body to vitamin A. Vitamin A plays an important role in maintaining healthy eyes, skin and the immune system. Carotoline is available in liquid form.
Karotolin has a wide range of indications for use. It is effective for the treatment of impaired night vision, slow-healing wounds, psoriasis, and immunodeficiency conditions. It is also recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women and for the prevention and treatment of hypovitaminosis A, a condition caused by a lack of vitamin A.
However, there are some contraindications to the use of Karotolin. Its use is not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to the drug, hypervitaminosis A, alcoholism, liver cirrhosis, viral hepatitis and impaired renal function.
When using Karotolin, side effects associated with hypervitaminosis A may occur, including headache, dizziness, weakness, anxiety, double vision, digestive disorders, skin rashes, dry lips, bone and joint pain, anorexia, ulceration of the skin and mucous membranes.
You should also consider the interaction of Karotolin with some other drugs. Calcium supplements, cholestyramine, mineral oils, neomycin and vitamin E may reduce the absorption of betacarotene.
According to the literature, overdoses of Karotolin have not been recorded, and there are no special instructions for its use.
Carotoline is an effective beta-carotene pharmaceutical that may help support eye, skin, and immune system health. However, before using it, it is recommended to consult a doctor and read the instructions to avoid possible side effects and interactions with other drugs.
