The ophthalmic disease ring of Vossius cataract (RTC) is a rare disease characterized by clouding of the lens, resulting in decreased visual acuity. This disease, unfortunately, is rare and the percentage of people suffering from this disease is very small. Diagnosis of this disease occupies a special place among other eye diseases. Traditionally, diagnosing RTC consists of a large number of differential diagnostic methods, each of which requires a thorough description by the ophthalmologist of the observed symptom complex. The same approach determines the most important principles of therapy, therefore, the therapist, having received conflicting data from different specialists, must analyze the condition and formulate a diagnosis together with them, based on the available data. Treatment for Vossius ring-shaped cataract involves surgery to remove the cataract, that is, to cover the cataract. This occurs by excision of the crystal body tissue covering the pupil. Typically, this is done using general or local anesthesia. After surgery, the patient can be discharged after 24-72 hours depending on the severity of the condition.
