Keratosis Meleda

Keratosis medida

**Keratosis Meleda** is a rare skin condition that is characterized by the formation of rough, white growths on the skin, usually in the head and neck area. The disease manifests itself in the form of lumpy growths covered with a rough hyperkeratotic crust. Keratomas in Meled Island disease are formed due to disruption of the formation of the stratum corneum of the epithelium. With later damage, the disease may manifest itself in the form of changes in the melanin-containing layer of the epidermis. Belongs to the group of pigment epidermoses. The disease is hereditary and localized in different parts of the body. Typical localization consists of lesions reminiscent of “weather”, but with one characteristic feature. The fact is that the chalk island disease constantly “wanders.” The lesion is not presented as one thing, but is divided into sections: one section begins to grow rapidly - and immediately new parts of the lesion appear. When the hearth begins to wither and think about falling, another one appears. Over time, the number of such areas of the so-called “bloom” increases. The process of formation of new areas has its own patterns: usually they appear at regular intervals and evenly. That is why such a comparison with its description in the book takes place: “as if the same thing always happens.” In other words, sometimes it seems as if the Lord God himself created this disease.
