Kestin: an effective remedy for allergic reactions

Kestin (international name: Ebastine) is a drug belonging to the group of H1-histamine receptor blockers. It is widely used to treat various allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis (seasonal and year-round) and urticaria. When using Kestin, some side effects may occur, including headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, and rarely, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, nausea, asthenia, insomnia, rhinitis and sinusitis. The interaction of the drug with other drugs should also be taken into account. Kestin is compatible with theophylline, indirect coagulants, cimetidine, diazepam, ethanol and ethanol-containing drugs. However, its simultaneous administration with ketoconazole and erythromycin is not recommended.

In case of overdose with Kestin, it is recommended to perform gastric lavage, monitoring vital organs and apply symptomatic therapy. It is important to note that there is no special antidote for the drug.
