Ovarian cystoma Pseudomucinous Secerated

Pseudomucinous secernans ovarian cystoma (p. ovarii pseudomucinosum secernans) is a benign ovarian neoplasm that develops from elements of the organ stroma and is characterized by the accumulation of mucus-like secretion in the cavity of the cyst.

This type of tumor occurs mainly in women of reproductive age. Clinically manifested by pain in the lower abdomen, menstrual irregularities. It is diagnosed using ultrasound, which visualizes a cystic formation in the ovary filled with homogeneous contents.

The main treatment method is surgical removal of the cyst. The prognosis is favorable, relapses after adequate surgical intervention are not typical.
