_Cells of Columns Internal - unpaired columnar cells located between the medial fascicles of the notochord and, mainly, between the notochord and the body of the ciliated body of the semicircular canal._ They have a wide oval shape and are located near the integumentary tissue of the auditory organ of the inner ear (organ of Corti).
