**Sporotrichous conjunctivitis** is an inflammation of the cornea of the eye caused by the fungus Sporulion. It mainly affects people and animals. The most susceptible are young people and children under 2 years of age who live or care for cats in areas unfavorable for this disease, where there are damp indoor spaces, as well as nearby cemeteries, burial grounds or poultry houses. Belongs to the category of spore diseases that develop when the immune system is suppressed or the body's resistance is reduced.
Fungal spores are stable in the external environment, they are not afraid of high humidity and temperature changes, tolerate freezing, and withstand chemicals.
